Sunday

i do enjoy sundays,
lazy with a hint of sun. sense of calm and
no agenda to follow. freedom to choose
to walk down this street or up that one, and
briskly stroll by the sea. explore a new
island and get lost in reverie. gladly see
others out and about, perhaps sit for coffee
and catch up with friends or stare at
an art show and hear a pianist play...light
red candles at home and drink green tea.
enjoy peace and solitude before another
studious week full of books to read and
reports to write. it is my leisure,
this sunday.
