Paris

We walked through wide avenues last evening, enjoying the wind and the rustling leaves on the sidewalk. The warmth, masses of people from all ethnicities, graffiti, smells and tourists of all languages are among the things that were first impressed on my senses. We saw the Eiffel Tower and met some lovely Argentines on top of the Arc de Triomphe. I'm trying not to cop out with my French and actually use it!

We are staying with my sister's third grade teacher's family. We've been talking about Ecuador, it's something like a blast from the past. We are in Paris, talking about what feels like another life we lived in the Amazon jungle, heh.

Tomorrow we are taking the train down to St. Jean-Pied-de-Port. And then our walking begins!
Au revoir!
